This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) describes how Modern Vintage News LLC (“Modern Vintage News,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and retains personal information about individuals that interact with our website (www.modernvintagenews.com) and other digital services, marketing campaigns, events, email newsletters, and other online or offline activity, offerings, or publications that link to or references this Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Service”).

Information You Provide to Us

Contest, Sweepstakes, and Survey Information. Such as when you enter a contest or sweepstakes, information included in any responses submitted through surveys or questionnaires, or the content of any testimonials.

“Do Not Track” Signals. Your browser settings may allow you to automatically transmit a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal to websites and online services you visit. At this time there is no consensus among industry participants as to the meaning of “Do Not Track” in this context. HOW WE DISCLOSE INFORMATION

Service Providers. Modern Vintage News uses service providers, contractors and agents to provide a variety of business services on our behalf, for the purposes described above.  For example, we use service providers to help us with credit-card and billing processing, shipping, marketing, advertising, data processing, website analytics, security and promotions management, legal services, and financial services. In some instances, Modern Vintage News  may need to provide personal and/or non-personal information about you to such service providers. However, all third party service providers are prohibited from using your personal information for any purpose other than that for which they were selected to work with Modern Vintage News.

Promotional Partners. We may share information with third parties with whom we partner to provide contests, surveys, and sweepstakes, or other joint promotional activities.

Advertising Partners. We may provide your information to advertisers, affiliate partners, and marketing partners to develop, manage, and conduct advertising and marketing campaigns, promotions, and offers, including about our content, products, and services or third parties’ products and services.

COOKIES AND RELATED TECHNOLOGIES

Please be aware that Modern Vintage News advertisers, business partners, sponsors, service providers, and other third parties accessible through the Service (such as via links from our websites and/or framed on our websites) may collect information about you pursuant to their own privacy practices. In addition, we maintain a presence on social media sites, which may collect information directly from you. Modern Vintage News has no control over these parties and is not responsible for any actions or policies of such third parties. We have put in place physical, electronic, and managerial procedures that we believe are appropriate to safeguard and help prevent unauthorized access, maintain data security, and correctly use the information we collect online. Please note that we cannot guarantee the security of our databases or sites, nor can we guarantee that information will not be intercepted while being transmitted over the Internet. 

DATA RETENTION

Your personal information will be held for only so long as it is necessary for the purpose for which it was originally collected, and in accordance with applicable local law. We will retain your personal information for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. When assessing retention periods, we first examine whether it is necessary to retain the personal information collected and, if retention is required, work to retain the personal information for the shortest possible period permissible under applicable law.

CHILDREN

This Service is not intended for children under 16 years of age.  No one under the age 16 may provide any personal information to or on the Service.  We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under the age of 16. If you are under the age of 16 you should not provide any personal information to us and you should use the Service only with the participation of a parent or guardian. 

ACCESS TO YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION AND “OPT OUT” PROCEDURES

You have various options to “opt out” of receiving information from us and our marketing partners. For example, when you sign up for a subscription to Modern Vintage News, you have the option not to receive special offers and promotions by email from us or selected marketing partners. You also can opt-out from our newsletters by using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each message. If you no longer want to receive third-party email offers that you requested through the Service, simply follow the advertiser’s unsubscribe link or opt-out instructions that should be included in every commercial message you receive.

California Shine the Light Act

Under California’s “Shine the Light” law, California residents have the right to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, a list of the third parties to whom we have disclosed certain types of personal information (if any) for their direct marketing purposes in the prior calendar year. At our option, we may respond to such requests by providing instructions about how our users can exercise their options to prevent our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy may be changed from time to time, so we encourage you to check back with every visit to our websites.
